The following medications may affect the
way that this medication works, or increase the risk of side effects:
antacids
fluconazole
glucocorticoids (e.g., prednisone)
other NSAID medications
rifampin
ASA and other salicylate medications
cimetidine
The following medications may be affected by celecoxib or
increase the risk of side effects:
lithium
thiazide diuretics (e.g., hydrochlorothiazide)
warfarin
ACE inhibitors (e.g., enalapril, ramipril)
fluoxetine
furosemide
If you are taking any of these medications, speak with your doctor.
Other medications may interact with this medication as well. Tell
your doctor about all prescription, non-prescription, and herbal
medications that you are taking. Tell them also about any supplements
you are taking. Caffeine, alcohol, nicotine from cigarettes, or
street drugs can also affect many medications, you should let your
doctor know if you use any of them.
Who should NOT take this medication?
Celecoxib should not be used by anyone
who:
is allergic to celebrex or any of the ingredient in this product
is allergic to sulfonamides (sulfa medications)
has experienced asthma, hives, or any allergic-type reactions after
taking ASA or other NSAIDs (e.g., naproxen, ibuprofen, diclofenac,
rofecoxib)
is taking another NSAID medication
has an active stomach ulcer, active gastrointestinal (stomach and
intestines) bleeding, or active inflammatory disease of the bowel
has active liver disease or severely impaired liver function
has severely impaired kidney function or kidney function that is
getting worse
